'Only player that turned up': Some Spurs fans believe ace was the one 'bright spot' in 3-0 loss

Spurs were put to the sword this weekend as Nuno Espirito Santo’s side fell to a 3-0 loss to London rivals Crystal Palace.

Tottenham were given a harsh reality check as Patrick Vieira’s side slaughtered the north London side. Palace played Spurs off the pitch at Selhurst Park.

With Spurs heading into the game with three wins and three clean sheets, confidence was high amongst supporters that another victory against Palace would be on the table.

Yet as we know, Tottenham were woeful against the south London side. Injury to Eric Dier and a red card for Japhet Tanganga did little to improve the club’s fortunes.

Moreover, with the loss coming to a side managed by an Arsenal legend, the defeat to Palace was that extra bit painful for Spurs. However, there was one bright spot.

Supporters were happy with how Lucas Moura performed, with the Brazilian attacker once again impressing under Nuno. However, the winger was unable to do much with Tottenham faltering and Palace on fire on the day.
