'Only person to speak up': Spurs fans loved what Eric Dier posted after Chelsea loss
Spurs lost to Chelsea yesterday in pretty resounding fashion, as Thomas Tuchel’s men ran out 3-0 winners against their London rivals.
Despite a spirited opening 45 minutes from Tottenham, the Blues simply turned the screw in the second half and scored three times to take the game away from Nuno Santo’s men.
It was, for Spurs, a second heavy defeat in quick succession. And after a run of three wins in August, the tide seems to have turned for the bad for Santo and his charges.
However, despite the heavy defeat to Chelsea, some Tottenham fans took heart from what Eric Dier had to say following the game. Dier, taking to Instagram, posted a heartfelt message where he admitted that he and his teammates must do more.
The message from Dier soon started doing the rounds among Spurs fans on Twitter. And rather than kick Dier while he’s down, the supporters seemed to rally behind their man.
Here, then, is a look at what some Spurs fans had to say in response to Eric Dier and his Instagram post.
Only person to speak up from the club my respect is high for him

Before the League starts, so many spurs fans want him to leave the club. But he really improved, three clean sheet. What a profesional!

Pleased he addressed it. I’m convinced we’ll find a rhythm pretty soon. COYS, we go again!

Dier is the type of player who you know ain’t good enough but would be sad to see him leave. He really loves the club.

He’s always one of the first to speak out and take responsibility

Good on the guy, did well at the back up until that second goal. Team was deflated after that with Tanguy and Gio being brought off.
