‘Only one that can pass’: Tottenham fans hail 25-year-old’s display against Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Harry Winks’ display after he came on against Chelsea last night.

Winks is playing for his Tottenham future currently, with The Times suggesting that Nuno has placed him up for sale.

Winks seems to have slipped down the pecking order at Spurs already this pre-season, with Oliver Skipp being given chances over him.

When Winks did come off the bench with Tottenham 1-0 down to Chelsea last night, it’s fair to say the substitution wasn’t unanimously popular.

But Spurs fought back from 2-0 down to claim a draw agains their London rivals.

And Tottenham fans admit that Winks did certainly help them to turn the game around.

Food for thought

Winks’ display doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be sticking around at Spurs now.

But it will at least give Nuno some food for thought as the season draws closer.

There is places up for grabs in Tottenham’s midfield, as while Pierre Emile Hojbjerg’s place looks secure, it is not clear who will play alongside him.
