5. The First Win: Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool (31/10/15)

Klopp managed to negate his first three games as Reds manager unbeaten, but he was still without an elusive win by the end of his first month in charge. A trip to the struggling champions gave him a great chance to get on the board, but when Ramires headed Chelsea in front after four minutes, it looked like it could be another frustrating day for the German.

But things soon turned around for the team, mainly down to a wonderful goal by Philippe Coutinho, whose left footed curler oozed the sort of class and quality that has been typical of Klopp’s first year in charge.

The Reds pressed the nervous Chelsea into submission into the second half, taking the lead through more great work by Coutinho, who rounded off a fabulous team move, before Christian Benteke sealed the victory with a crisp strike.

It was the first time we all saw what Klopp’s Liverpool could do, and there was plenty more to come.
