One winner and loser with Wolves close to £20 million Adama Traore deal
Wolves are closing in on a deal for Middlesbrough midfielder Adama Traore for a club record transfer fee of £20 million, and the 22-year-old will undergo a medical today, according to Sky Sports.
The West Midlands club are enjoying a terrific transfer window and look set to cause a stir next season in the English top flight after being promoted from the Championship in their 2017/18 campaign.
Traore will join other high profile signings at Molineux this summer with Raul Jimenez, Joao Moutinho and Ruo Patricio all making the switch to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s exciting outfit.

Winner – Wolves’ wide areas
Traore is exceptionally pacey and powerful and will be a massive weapon for Nuno Espirito Santo to have at his disposal for the upcoming 2018/19 Premier League season.
The winger had a strong campaign in the Championship last season for Boro and enjoyed five goals and 12 assists in all competitions, demonstrating his ability to be a nuisance for any defence from wide areas on the pitch.
It will be Traore’s second stint in the Premier League. However, the influential winger has more experience this time around and will in no doubt prove to be a worthy addition to Wolves’ squad.

Loser – Ivan Cavaleiro
Ivan Cavaleiro’s position in the Wolves starting XI may come under threat due to Traore’s arrival and the fact both players play in similar areas.
Cavaleiro, however, was a top performer for Wolves in their promotion push last season, scoring nine and assisting 12 and it would be a real shame to see him join Barry Douglas in leaving Molineux for the assurance of game time elsewhere.
It remains to be seen how Nuno Espirito Santo will incorporate new signing Adama Traore into his set up. However, it will probably have to come at the cost of leaving Ivan Cavaleiro out.
