Tottenham Hotspur beat Ajax 3-2 at the Amsterdam Arena to advance through to the Champions League final on June 1.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side fought from 2-0 down on the night to defeat the Dutch side, who were 1-0 up from the first leg.
Thanks to the away goals rule, Tottenham will now face Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for the chance to win Europe’s most coveted club trophy.
A number of Tottenham stars produced fantastic displays in Holland, but arguably non more so than hat-trick hero Lucas Moura.
The Brazilian stepped up to be counted for, and afterwards called the occasion ‘the greatest night of my career’.
Remarkably, Moura’s performance was so good that L’Equipe awarded him a rare perfect 10 (via The Mirror).
The French newspaper is notoriously difficult to please and are usually always very harsh when giving out player ratings.
For example despite Spurs winning, they still gave Kieran Trippier and Victor Wanyama a 3/10.
Lucas is only the 10th player ever to have been scored 10/10, after the first pair were dished out to French youngsters Franck Sauzee and Bruno Martini in 1988.
Other players to have played perfectly in the eyes of L’Equipe down the years include Lionel Messi (twice – vs Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal), Robert Lewandowski (vs Real Madrid) and Neymar (vs Dijon).
All three of Moura’s finishes were superbly taken on his weaker foot, and Spurs fans will now be hoping he can deliver in Madrid against Liverpool.
