Newcastle United finally suffered a blip at the weekend, after suffering defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.
They don’t have to wait long to try and bounce back, as they face Leicester City tomorrow evening.
Eddie Howe’s recruitment has been very measured since arriving at St. James’ Park.
Despite the vast resources available to him, every window has seen a small number of quality players arrive at the club.
January is unlikely to be any different and tends to be a tough month to recruit in.
However, Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes would beg to differ that it’s impossible to bring great players in.

Jacobs now believes, via Give Me Sport, that Newcastle are considering a low bid for Youri Tielemans this month.
The Belgian has been linked with a move away from tomorrow’s opponents for some time.
His contract runs out in six months’ time, and Newcastle want to see if they can secure his future before he becomes a free agent.
Newcastle consider low bid for Tielemans
Jacobs was asked about the 25-year-old by Give Me Sport, and said: “In January, Tielemans will not suddenly be worth the £30m that perhaps Leicester wanted for him, because that contract has ticked down a little bit further.
“So, this is where Newcastle will be one to watch for Arsenal in particular because there’s a growing feeling that Newcastle might consider a low offer for Tielemans in January to strengthen their midfield, to see how Leicester react.
“Leicester may say they don’t want to get rid mid-season or Leicester may say they’re now resigned to losing Tielemans for free.
“But there’s always that temptation if a reasonable but still much lower than the £30m or so from last summer is tabled.”

The ‘incredible’ midfielder has seen an uptick in his form in recent games, despite Leicester’s poor results.
It seems unlikely that a low bid for Tielemans from Newcastle will tempt Leicester to sell right now.
He’s a vital player for the Foxes. Given Brendan Rodgers’ side could be dragged into a relegation battle, they can’t afford to lose him yet.
Tielemans would be a brilliant addition to the Newcastle squad, and would add depth and quality to their midfield.
Howe’s side may have to wait until the summer to get their man.
They’ll face plenty of competition once Tielemans is a free agent.
