Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has waxed lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur’s front line, deeming it to be “one of the most special in Europe”.

The Gunners host Jose Mourinho’s Spurs at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, both sides eager for much-needed points in the race for Europe.

Arsenal are currently 10th in the Premier League table, having picked up 38 points from 27 matches this season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham sit seventh in the standings on 45 points, five behind fourth-placed Chelsea with a game in hand.

Despite up-and-down seasons, both sides will go into the North London derby on the back of impressive wins in the Europa League.

That said, Arsenal’s defence has been fairly shaky in recent weeks, while Spurs’ attackers are firing on all cylinders.

The Gunners go into the game having failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last nine matches in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Spurs trio Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale have scored 48 goals between them already this season.

At his pre-match press conference, Arteta was full of praise for his rivals’ strike force, and admitted they’ll be difficult to keep at bay.

“It’s very difficult because the level of quality, precision, understanding and chemistry that they have between them makes them probably one of the most special (attacks) in Europe,” Arteta told football.london.

“And they don’t need much. They are able to create their own chances, they are able to link as a team. So it is really difficult to do, but we will prepare the game well to try to stop them obviously.”

Spurs triumphed in the reverse Premier League fixture back in December, Son and Kane netting in the first half for a 2-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
