'One of the best players I’ve seen': Jota says one Celtic player is absolutely 'unbelievable'
Celtic winger Jota has waxed lyrical about Hoops teammate Kyogo Furuhashi following their Europa League win on Wednesday night.
Jota and Furuhashi both joined Celtic this summer – the former on a loan with an option to buy – and both have impressed at Parkhead.
The Portuguese ace has made nine Celtic appearances and already has three goals and four assists to his name.
Meanwhile, Furuhashi has a staggering nine goals from 13 appearances, plus one assist.
After recording back-to-back away wins in the league, Celtic got their Europa League campaign back on track with a 2-0 win over Ferencvaros.
After a goalless first half, Furuhashi and David Turnbull scored to pick up their first win of the group, with Jota providing some pinpoint passing.
The two summer signings are beginning to form a great relationship on the pitch, and Jota said he’s planning to work extra hard to ensure even greater communication between the two.
“I’m starting to get to know Kyogo and his movements are unbelievable,” Herald Scotland quotes him as saying.
“He really can move, he’s one of the best players I’ve seen doing movements.
“I saw his move and I wanted to do the pass. It was good because he scored, he did a really good reception [of the ball].
“Unfortunately, Kyogo doesn’t speak English so [developing a relationship has] been quite difficult.
“Actually, it’s funny because I said to Kyogo if he didn’t learn English then it’s no worries because I will try to learn some Japanese so we can talk.
“I will definitely go to learn some Japanese to speak with him
“But I think the most important thing is inside the pitch we are starting to get to know each other.
“Game after game we are going to get better.”
