Joe Rodon has lavished praise on Tottenham and England talisman Harry Kane ahead of potentially facing him tonight.
Kane is carrying a foot injury during the World Cup, but the Times report he is desperate to play against Rodon’s Wales tonight despite that.
England are all but through to the last 16, while Wales need a huge turnaround to qualify for the first knockout round.
As per BBC Sport, Rodon spoke about Kane’s quality, having worked closely with him in training at Tottenham.

Rodon on Kane
“Harry has been a top player for many years, one of the best in the world,” said Rodon.
“He is a brilliant finisher, both feet as well. He has scored many goals and is a world-class striker. I have trained and spent a couple of seasons with him and we all know how good he is.
“In a competitive game it is going to be another brilliant challenge and one I am very excited about. Training with these players [at Spurs] for the last couple of seasons has improved me as a player a lot as well.”
£15 million man Rodon was signed by Jose Mourinho but has been loaned out to Rennes by Antonio Conte to get him some gametime so he did not go into the World Cup undercooked.
There was a huge reaction to England’s draw with the United States, while Wales go into this game as the underdogs, looking to improve on their World Cup performances so far.
England will be the favourites but for many of the Welsh players, this will be the biggest game of their careers so if they raise their game accordingly, it will be a really tough night for the Three Lions.
