Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, finally broke his goalscoring duck last night as the Gunners drew 1-1 with Southampton at The Emirates.

The Gabon star had only netted twice this season prior to last night. He also scored an own goal last time out, compounding his woes in front of goal in general this term.
However, he got on the scoresheet last night and former Spurs striker and MOTD host, Gary Lineker, took to Twitter to sing the praises of the Arsenal man, claiming he is one of the best for a reason.
Aubameyang has previously been one of the league’s most prolific strikers, winning the golden boot in 2018/19 along with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.
Despite Arsenal’s struggles and failure to win again, Aubameyang will be hoping – as Lineker says – that the goals can now start coming on a more regular basis and help fire the Gunners up the table.

And that has been the frustrating thing for Arsenal fans and everyone watching them this season.
Everyone knows how good Aubameyang can be on his day. He is lethal, a top finisher, and when in full flow, is pretty hard for even the best defenders to stop.
Hopefully, for ‘Auba’ and Arsenal, Lineker’s words will ring true and the goals will start to truly flow now.
