Celtic have received a huge compliment from Marc ter Stegen after the Barcelona goalkeeper described Parkhead as one of the best football grounds in the world.
Ter Stegen has played twice against the Hoops, when the two sides locked horns in the Champions League in 2016-17.
At Camp Nou, Barca ran out 7-0 winners, while the return match at Celtic Park saw the Blaugrana triumph once again, claiming a 2-0 victory.
Ter Stegen was so impressed by Parkhead that, when asked by a Celtic fan about his thoughts on the Bhoys stadium during a Q&A, his reply was very complimentary.
Celtic currently sit top of the Scottish Premiership table on 80 points from 30 games, while Barca are also at their respective summit, two points clear of Real Madrid in La Liga.
TBR View:
Celtic Park has received widespread praise from players and pundits the world over for its passionate atmosphere and Ter Stegen is just the latest to do so in no uncertain terms.
Ter Stegen, with a starting berth for one of the biggest clubs in the world, a trophy-laden CV and a reported €180million (£167million) release clause, is very much in the top tier of professional footballers plying their trade currently.
He has played in some of the world’s top stadiums and so, for him to say Parkhead is one of the best he’s played at, and admitting he hopes to experience its atmosphere once again, is testament to just how great Celtic’s home truly is.
