With the next transfer market set to be severely impacted by the current global health crisis, players who will become free agents at the end of this season are suddenly gold dust.

One such player is Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser. The Scotland international’s form may not be what it was in 2018-19, but he still remains a top free agent option in the summer.

Arsenal, according to a recent report from The Mirror, are well aware of that fact and are said to be keen on a deal for the player.

Fraser, it seems, would not be against the idea of an Arsenal switch.

A year ago to the day Fraser spoke to Sky Sports regarding the links to Arsenal and he spoke warmly of the opportunity to potentially join ‘a massive club’.

“I’m not going to lie, it’s very nice. It means you are doing something right.

“They are a huge club, a massive club. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well.

“I’m not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.”

Arsenal fans will, of course, be hoping for better.

With big names like Samuel Umtiti, Kai Havertz, and James Rodriguez being mentioned as potential Arsenal targets, that is understandable.

But the longer the current situation unfolds, and with Arsenal not set to play European football next term, Fraser might represent the more realistic side of the next transfer window for Arsenal.
