Tottenham could be on the verge of announcing two new signings this week.
Timo Werner is already in London and is set to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Spurs in the coming hours, while it would appear Tottenham are also closing in on the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa.
The Romanian defender has been strongly linked with a move to Spurs over the past fortnight, and it looks as though there has been a breakthrough on that front over the past few hours.
Indeed, it has been reported that a fee has been agreed with Genoa over this signing, and now, we’re just waiting for a signature on the dotted line.
According to Rudy Galetti, this deal is moving in the right direction and according to the journalist, a medical is now being pencilled in for before the end of this week.
The £22m man is set to join Spurs shortly, and this signing is coming at just the right time for Tottenham.
Indeed, Spurs’ defensive crisis can’t continue in this way, and after Ben Davies picked up an injury against Burnley and Ashley Phillips headed out on loan to Plymouth, Spurs’ centre-back options are now beyond barebones.
However, Dragusin’s arrival will make things so much easier, and hopefully, Micky van de Ven’s return from injury won’t be too far away either.

Of course, whether or not Dragusin proves to be a hit for Spurs remains to be seen, but at the age of just 21, this is a young man with bags of potential who could grow to be a key player for the north London club.
We’re into the final details of this deal, and if nothing is picked up in terms of issues with Dragusin’s medical, it may not be long before we see the defender holding up a white shirt and being announced as a new Spurs player.
Tottenham aren’t messing about this January, that’s for sure.
