Everton have now lost their last three games in the Premier League after a brave but ultimately unsuccessful performance against Manchester City. Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling proved enough for the Premier League champions to pick up all three points.
It was another rather toothless display from Everton’s attackers that had fans of the club again disappointed with their attacking options.
In fact, plenty of Everton fans have been calling for one of their young players to get a chance as a consequence.

Whilst the likes of Moise Kean, Bernard, Richarlison and Theo Walcott have shown indifferent form so far this season young winger Anthony Gordon has been in fine form for the Everton under-23s.
He has six goals from seven appearances this season and against Manchester City produced a magic performance. His solo run and strike led to Ellis Simms heading home an equaliser and the video of his run had fans on social media purring.
But whilst plenty of Everton fans are calling for Gordon to get a chance for Marco Silva’s first-team, the player himself is remaining patient.
He took to Twitter yesterday, suggesting he was happy to wait for his chance.
If the 18-year-old can keep up this form going forward there is no doubt that an eventual first-team chance has to be forthcoming.
Everton fans, however, seem more impatient for that moment than the player himself.
