Gary Lineker has deemed Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander Arnold “sublime” and “on another level” following his latest heroics.
The Reds star is arguably the best right-back in world football right now, but his spot in the England team is not assured.
Alexander-Arnold had missed Liverpool’s previous two matches before the international break with a groin injury.

However, the 23-year-old was back in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI at Watford in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff.
And he delivered a superb display, showcasing his incredible range of passing and twice slicing through the Hornets back line.
Alexander-Arnold also defended solidly, part of a defence that ultimately kept a routine clean sheet against Claudio Ranieri’s side.
Liverpool ran out 5-0 winners, with Roberto Firmino netting a hat-trick and Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane also getting on the scoresheet.
His 64th-minute substitution, with a view to Tuesday’s Champions League meeting with Atletico Madrid, was testament to how important he is to the side.
Here is what Gary Lineker tweeted about the Liverpool star:
England are next in action in November 12 and 15, facing Albania and then San Marino in their final World Cup qualifiers.
Alexander-Arnold was unlucky to miss out on Euro 2020 due to injury, but even amid the strong competition at right-back in the England squad, he can’t not play a part for his nation.
