'Omg' 'poor Gil': Some Spurs fans are in hysterics over training-ground picture
Spurs captain Hugo Lloris has become Tottenham‘s record Premier League appearance holder.
The 34-year-old clocked up his 300th English top-flight match for Spurs in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Wolves.
On Tuesday, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy presented the goalkeeper with a commemorative shirt signed by the squad.
The Tottenham squad then posed for a picture at the training ground, with Lloris and his framed shirt in the middle.
So far, nothing unusual:
But some eagle-eyed Spurs fans couldn’t help but laugh after one of the club’s new recruits was pretty much hidden from sight.
Bryan Gil, who joined Tottenham this summer, didn’t exactly pick the best spot to stand – the 5ft 9in attacker right behind 6ft 2in Lloris.
Did the 20-year-old choose to stand there? Camera-shy perhaps? Or did his teammates put him there for a laugh?
Either way, plenty of Spurs fans found it funny:
