On Thursday, however, the Eagles won the race for the 19-year-old’s signature ahead of Liverpool and other clubs.

Olise has signed a five-year contract at Selhurst Park after moving from Reading for a reported £8million.

And plenty of Palace fans are absolutely ecstatic with the news:

Olise is a left-footed attacking midfielder who spent time at Chelsea and Manchester City as a youngster but came through the ranks at Reading.

He primarily features behind a striker but is equally capable operating from the right wing and cutting inside

A strong dribbler with an eye for a through-ball, Olise was the primary creator for his team last term.

He made 44 Championship appearances for the Royals last season, bagging seven goals and 12 assists.

His efforts saw him win the EFL’s Young Player of the Season award.
