Arsenal fans have been celebrating the news that the Gunners are seemingly determined to keep hold of both Emile Smith-Rowe and Folarin Balogun.

A report from the Dail Mail claims that the club’s priority is to ensure its best young players are tied down to new deals. That means sorting out contracts for Balogun and Smith-Rowe.

Balogun’s is of more importance, given it expires this summer and there is widespread interest from across Europe in him. Smith-Rowe, meanwhile, has a few years left, with his deal running until 2023.

And while it’s nothing entirely new for Gunners fans to hear of an extension for these two, the fresh report has led to some Arsenal supporters being delighted at hearing the news.
