'Legend', 'love him already': Some Spurs fans blown away by what Conte's reportedly done

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to making Antonio Conte the new Spurs manager.

Spurs have been looking for a new head coach since sacking Jose Mourinho in April.

Tottenham have been linked with many managers in that time, from veterans to up-and-coming coaches.

However, Spurs appear close to finally securing a new man in the dugout, according to The Guardian.

Every England One Cap Wonder Since Euro 2004: Where Are They Now?

The outlet claims that Tottenham are confident their search for a new manager is coming to an end.

Conte’s potential arrival could also be interesting in terms of Harry Kane’s future.

The England captain is reportedly eager to leave Spurs in search of silverware.

However, The Times reported earlier on Thursday that Conte will only take the job if he can manage Kane.

And Spurs fans absolutely love Conte’s apparent hardball stance over Kane’s future:

Title winner

Antonio Conte has just led Inter Milan to their first Serie A title in 11 years, finally breaking Juventus’ hold on the Scudetto.

The 51-year-old’s CV is impressive, with one Premier League, four Serie A titles, an FA Cup, two Italian Super Cups and a Serie A title under his belt.

However, Conte left Inter at the end of May.

According to Sky Sports, Inter chairman Steven Zhang asked Conte to cut his wage bill by 15 to 20 per cent and potentially sell players worth up to £70m this summer.

Kane speculation

Kane has been nothing short of sensational for Spurs and England over the years.

He is the third player in Premier League history to claim the Golden Boot and finish with the most assists in the same season.

Kane finished the season with 23 goals and 14 assists in the top flight.

However, his future is uncertain as he reportedly wants to leave the club, and he’s bound to have interest.

Manchester City were apparently planning talks with Spurs over his signature, as reported by The Guardian.

Last month, Kane spoke to Gary Neville on The Overlap and described Kevin De Bruyne as a “special, special player” whose deliveries are “a striker’s dream”.
