Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah suggests he really wants £47m player to sign for Arsenal

Arsenal haven’t done all that much in the summer transfer window so far.

Riccardo Calafiori has arrived as the Gunners’ only major signing so far, and fans are starting to get a bit anxious for new additions.

LiveScore have been reaching out to a number of celebrity fans about who they would like to see sign for their clubs this summer.

Sir Mo Farah is a famous Arsenal fan, and LiveScore reached out to the Olympic legend about his dream signing.

Farah has previously stated that it would be a dream to play for Arsenal.

“I would have loved to play for Arsenal, but I was never good enough. I played at school and for the local club until I was 14, but I was only good because I could cross the ball and run forward and run back. I didn’t have any other skills. I joined a running club instead,” Farah told The Guardian a few years ago.

Farah may never have gotten to play for Arsenal, but he’s now named his dream Arsenal signing.

Mo Farah’s dream Arsenal signing is Nico Williams

Farah replied to LiveScore’s message, claiming that he would like to see Nico Williams arrive at Arsenal this summer.

Williams has been strongly linked to Arsenal as of late, and with a £47m release clause present in his contract, this is a deal that could well be doable.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, Barcelona are also said to be keen on Nico Williams, while the player himself doesn’t seem to be in any huge rush to leave Athletic Bilbao.

Farah isn’t wrong when he suggests Williams as a fantastic addition for Arsenal.

The winger lit up Euro 2024, scoring a vital goal in the final for Spain, and he has all of the ability needed to be a star for a team like Arsenal.

Unfortunately for the Gunners, getting a deal like this done is easier said than done, and it doesn’t look as though Farah’s dream will indeed come true this summer.
