Olympiacos defender Pape Abou Cisse has said that West Ham were among the clubs interested in him during the most recent transfer window.
And as per French outlet Le Quotidien, he dreams of making the move to the Premier League, even though he is currently playing in the Champions League with the Greek club.
He said: “There were other English clubs (than Arsenal interested in me); West Ham, Wolverhampton. In France, there was Rennes, Monaco. But hey, I’m still in contract with Olympiakos. I dream of playing in the Premier League.”
As per West Ham site Claret and Hugh, Hammers representatives went to Greece to scout the towering defender against AEK Athens but were left disappointed when he wasn’t involved.

TBR’s View – Do West Ham need another central defender?
The options the Hammers do have are quality; Issa Diop had a huge breakthrough season, Angelo Ogbonna is back on form this season and Fabian Balbuena looked a steal at times last season.
But with Winston Reid still sidelined, Manuel Pellegrini does look a touch thin on the ground and the addition of a towering presence with Champions League experience would not go amiss.
Since the win over Manchester United, West Ham have slipped down the league and it could be a big January transfer window in terms of rejuvenating their season.
