Olly Casey was compared with Tony Adams by former Leeds United youngster Theo Hudson after the defender took to Instagram to comment on the Whites under-23s’ latest win.
Mark Jackson’s side stormed to an emphatic 7-1 win over Fulham on Monday. Leeds were able to call upon the likes of Pablo Hernandez, Tyler Roberts, Helder Costa and Ian Poveda.

But it would be extremely unfair to put their victory down solely to the first-team stars who featured. The Whites boasted seven different scorers, with the likes of Charlie Cresswell and Joe Gelhardt stealing the show.
Another player who impressed was Casey. He was excellent alongside Cresswell at the heart of the defence. And it was clear just how disappointed he was when Leeds conceded during the second-half to miss out on a clean sheet.

The win keeps Leeds top of their league heading into Christmas. And following the victory, Casey took to social media.
He sent out a simple message on Instagram – perhaps highlighting how much work there is still to do this season. But many of his teammates were quick to laud him in response.
Perhaps the most impressive claim came from Hudson. The youngster, who left the club in the summer and has subsequently joined Darlington, compared Casey with a former England captain.
Here is Casey’s post, as well as some of the responses…
