Oliver Skipp is a promising young talent that has had a taste of first-team football at Tottenham and looks the real deal.
The midfielder has made 12 senior appearances this campaign across all competitions and has caught the eye.
But the 18-year-old is now entering a crucial period of his career where regular football is crucial and he should perhaps pursue a temporary exit on loan next season.
According to El Desmarque, Spurs want to sign midfield playmaker Dani Ceballos from La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.
It is understood they may be prepared to splash out up to £44million for his signature and that they are “main players” in the race to sign him.
The report further details that Arsenal, Real Betis and Juventus also hold an interest in him.
Ceballos is a central midfielder that is excellent in possession and can control play from the middle of the park.
The 22-year-old has featured in 34 games for Madrid this season and has experience already at the elite level.
He is a six-time capped Spain international too that would be able to compete with the likes of Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama for a spot in the Spurs midfield next season.
Skipp’s immediate path to the first team looks blocked, which is why enjoying a loan next year could help his development and Harry Kane is a fine example of how well the loan system can work.
