Oliver Burke has been quoted by the Daily Express as saying that he is unmoved by Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic exit, and doesn’t care who is in charge.
The 21-year-old was signed by Rodgers in the January transfer window on loan from West Bromwich Albion. But just a couple of months into his loan at Parkhead, Rodgers has joined Leicester City.
The former Nottingham Forest and RB Leipzig ace has scored four and created three more in 13 games for Celtic. He is quickly developing a strong rapport with Hoops fans.
Burke was asked about Rodgers’ decision to move on, and he stated that it does not bother him who is in the hotseat. Neil Lennon has taken the job on until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent switch.

“I don’t think it [Rodgers’ departure] changes anything,” Burke said. “I’m very happy. As long as I’m playing football and enjoying myself I don’t care who the manager is.
“I wouldn’t say I was disappointed that Brendan has gone. I still feel I can learn a lot from the new manager and I’m looking forward to working under him.”
TBR’s view
Burke is right. Celtic need to move on and after two successive wins under Lennon, it appears they have done. Rodgers was brilliant for Celtic, but the future is under Lennon.
Lennon has the passion and support to continue Rodgers’ excellent work. With a third Scottish Premiership title on the horizon, Celtic are still on their way to eight in a row.
