Rangers duo Greg Stewart and Nikola Katic, as well as well-renowned Rangers fan Oli McBurnie have both commented on Connor Goldson’s Instagram post, as the Gers earned an injury-time win over Kilmarnock.
In what was Rangers’ first Scottish Premiership fixture of the season, Scott Arfield gave Steven Gerrard’s side the lead but Killie looked to have secured a point as an unmarked Stephen O’Donnell lashed home an equaliser.
Killie’s goal came in the 83rd minute but Rangers snatched all three points in injury time as Goldson rose highest to power home a header, past Juventus loanee Laurențiu Brănescu – sending Rangers fans into a frenzy.
Goldson posted on Instagram after the match with a picture of himself celebrating and the caption “no better feeling”, to which Stewart, Katic and Sheffield United’s new £20million signing McBurnie reacted.
TBR’s view – Rangers struggled, but an improvement on 18/19
Last season, Rangers travelled to Rugby Park on four occasions – facing Killie in the Scottish Cup, League Cup and after the split. But only once did they travel back to Glasgow.
Indeed, the Gers suffered defeats on two occasions – including the final day of the season in which they suffered a 2-1 defeat thanks to a last-minute penalty from Eamonn Brophy.
Though it was a struggle, Rangers earned what could be a crucial three points in terms of the entire campaign.
