Arsenal have some genuine superstars in their ranks, including one that Oleksandr Zinchenko has called a Rolls-Royce.

Mikel Arteta very nearly has all of the pieces of the puzzle at Arsenal. After signing Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi, the Gunners’ starting XI is a frightening one this season.

But, as the new signings provide a new element of dynamism, it’s safe to say some of the existing players are what make Arsenal such a special side.

Some of whom have been doing it for years. That includes William Saliba.

Oleksandr Zinchenko on William Saliba

Saliba was included in the PFA Team of the Year, and took to Instagram to celebrate his inclusion. He wrote: ‘Always a pleasure to be included in the PFA Team of the Year.’

Oleksandr Zinchenko, among others, flooded the comments with the Ukrainian commenting ‘RR’ with a fire emoji, which of course, means ‘Rolls-Royce’.

Calling someone a ‘Rolls Royce of a player’ means they are high-quality, reliable, and play with elegance and composure on the field, according to Google, that is.

A huge compliment, but one that certainly rings true. That is, of course, because Saliba has been doing it for years in the Premier League.

William Saliba in PFA Team of the Year three seasons running

Saliba is the only player to be named in the PFA PL TOTY in each of the last three seasons.

This puts him in some elite company in regard to Arsenal, with Robert Pires and Ashley Cole also included three times.
