A January move for Dean Henderson to Leeds United appears to be very unlikely, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisting the goalkeeper wants to stay at Manchester United.
Henderson has faded back into the background after a fine season on loan at Sheffield United last term, playing second fiddle to David De Gea at Old Trafford.

So far, he’s made just three appearances in 2020/21 – two in the EFL Cup and one in the Champions League against Istanbul Basaksehir.
The player’s lack of minutes led to a report from The Sun, who claimed that Leeds could potentially make a loan move for the 23-year-old.
But a move doesn’t appear likely given what Solskjaer said in his press conference today.

The Norwegian said (Sky Sports): “Dean wants to stay at Manchester United and play for Manchester United.
“I can’t see the logic in him playing only one game before Christmas. Do you know how many games we’ve got? So I disagree completely that Tuesday could be make or break for Dean.
“He has come back in, he is training really well, he is maturing. He is training with, for me, one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He has got potential to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.”
TBR’s View – Meslier going from strength to strength
A move to West Yorkshire always felt unlikely, and Solskjaer’s comments effectively rule out any move to Elland Road now.

Henderson – who signed a new deal with United worth £120,000-a-week in August (Daily Mail) – would be moving somewhere to become a number one again, and right now Ilan Meslier has done nothing to deserve losing his place in the starting XI.
The Frenchman is in fine form at the moment and Marcelo Bielsa is bound to continue being loyal to the 20-year-old.
