Leighton Baines has asked Bill Kenwright and Roberto Martinez to agree a deal to sell him to Manchester United, according to newspaper, The Independent.
The newspaper believes he met with the club officials on the first day of Pre Season to tell them he wished for them to negotiate with United over a possible move to Old Trafford.
The 28 year old left back from Kirkby, Merseyside, is probably the best left back in the league, and is believed to want to join the Champions, as well as link up with former Everton manager David Moyes.
United have already had a joint bid of £28m turned down by Everton for the services of Baines and Fellaini. The newspaper believes that Baines has since spoken to Roberto Martinez to reiterate his desire that Everton try to agree a deal.
If the rumours are true, it makes you wonder what the future has in store for Patrice Evra.
