West Bromwich Albion loanee Okay Yokuslu has waxed lyrical about fellow Baggies newcomer Mbaye Diagne.

Yokuslu arrived at The Hawthorns at the start of February, joining on loan from Spanish outlet Celta Vigo.

Diagne, meanwhile, joined West Brom at the end of January, swapping Galatasaray for Albion until the end of the season.

Both players have been great for Sam Allardyce’s side, helping the Baggies claim two draws and a win from their last three Premier League games.

Yokuslu is a Turkey international and Diagne is one of the Superlig’s greatest ever strikers, so it’s little surprise that the two have forged a connection.

“I have been with Mbaye Diagne a lot,” Yokuslu told the Express & Star. “He has moved next door to me – he is my new neighbour.

“We see each other before training and I’ve been spending time with him at training.

“We have that connection because we have both played in Turkey and I am Turkish.”

It’s great to hear that Yokuslu and Diagne have become friends and are spending time before and during training – as both are new to the club, it’ll help them in terms of settling in.

They’ve certainly settled well into the team too, and though it’s a big ask for West Brom to survive in the league, they’ve certainly got a fighting chance now.
