‘Ok mate, next’, ‘no chance’: Some Everton fans shocked by 26-year-old’s reported wage demands

A number of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on reported Toffees target Ryan Fraser and his apparent request for wages of over £100,000-a-week.

The 26-year-old winger, who has been linked with numerous clubs over the past few months, has turned down the offer of a short-term contract at Bournemouth for the rest of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Fraser has his heart set on a move to Everton, while Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have also been linked with the Scotland international.

However, a report from The Times suggests that the Goodison Park side is not “actively interested” in Fraser.

His £100,000-a-week wage demands are reportedly considered too high and Carlo Ancelotti apparently wants a left-footed right-winger, not a right-footed left-winger, this summer.

Fraser, currently believed to be on £27,000-a-week at Bournemouth, joined the Cherries in January 2013 from Aberdeen.

He has made 208 appearances for the south coast club, claiming 24 goals and 33 assists in that time, according to Transfermarkt.

Fraser was impressive last season, registering seven goals and 14 assists in the Premier League, but this term has yielded just one goal and four assists in the top flight.
