Jamie O’Hara has hit back at a supporter’s suggestion on talkSPORT that they would rather play an FA Cup semi-final at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than Wembley amid criticism over the scheduling of the last four.
Liverpool and Manchester City fans have expressed their desire to see the location of their semi-final tie switched. They are due to meet in the middle of April at Wembley.

However, no trains are running from either city into London on that weekend. And with that, there is a hope amongst some of the supporters that the semi-final can be moved to a different place more convenient for both sides.
It has also led to the resumption of the debate over where the FA Cup semi-finals should be held. For many, Wembley should be reserved for the final only. And some would love to a similar system to the one that saw Villa Park and Old Trafford used.

Interestingly, one Arsenal fan went onto talkSPORT and claimed that they would rather see a semi-final at Tottenham’s new stadium. However, O’Hara has hit back at the claim that Spurs’ home would provide a better backdrop for the semi-final.
He said: “No [it’s not better than Wembley]. It’s debatable. It’s a great stadium, but it’s Wembley!
“In terms of prestige, it’s Wembley. It’s the national stadium!”
Wembley should be reserved for the final after Tottenham Hotspur Stadium claim
There are plenty of fans who welcome the semi-final being played at Wembley. For some clubs’ supporters, it ultimately boosts their chance of going to the ground considerably.
However, more fans would surely be in favour of the semi-finals being played at other grounds. That makes reaching Wembley even more special.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would have to be in the mix in that case. It is a world-class facility with a huge capacity.
Winning there would perhaps make reaching the final even more meaningful. And missing out would make a semi-final loss even more heartbreaking for the other side.
