Tottenham fans have been getting excited in the last 24 hours after it emerged Eduardo Camavinga had signed a deal to join up with Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett.

Reported by Goal, Camavinga has opted to move to Bale’s representatives as he seeks a summer move away from Rennes.

Camavinga is seen as one of the top talents on the continent and has been linked with a host of clubs, including Real Madrid. However, Spurs are also said to be in the mix, with a £54m potential deal touted just last month by Football.London.

News of the teenager signing up with Bale’s agent, then, has got Spurs fans talking on social media, with Twitter awash with comments from some Spurs supporters who think they might get their man now.

It wouldn’t be the strangest thing to happen, especially given Bale’s relationship with Madrid, and that’s something some Tottenham fans have picked up on on Twitter.
