A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the Labaro Viola report claiming the Gunners have agreed a deal to sell Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina.

Arsenal will reportedly be paid €8million (£7million) as a loan fee for this season, with a €16million (£14million) obligatory purchase clause to make the transfer permanent.

However, the deal’s completion reportedly hinges on Dani Ceballos being loaned to the Gunners once again, and Labaro Viola claims Real Madrid haven’t made up their mind yet.

That said, with multiple reports – such as one in The Mirror – suggesting the Ceballos deal is all but done, this could pave the way for Torreira to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal signed Torreira for a reported £26million in 2018, and the Uruguay international has made 89 competitive appearances for the Gunners, claiming 10 goal contributions.

He has done well enough for the North Londoners but most of his game time after the resumption of English football came off the bench.

In addition, the player hasn’t appeared overly settled in England – he admitted in 2019 that he liked living in Italy more, as reported by Goal.com.

With Mikel Arteta eager to revamp his squad following a great summer which included lifting the FA Cup and Community Shield, the 24-year-old looks likely to be on the move.

If the reports are true, however, Arsenal look set to take a £5million hit on their investment.

Here is what some Gunners fans have made of the speculation:
