'Oh no': Some Tottenham fans 'scared' by Arsenal transfer rumour
Tottenham Hotspur fans are concerned that they could lose out to Arsenal in the race to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna now.
Calcio Mercato had claimed that Spurs were set to sign the versatile defender.
But Arsenal now seem to have ramped up their interest in the Japanese international.
And Tottenham fans now now highly concerned about losing out on him.
Worrying for Spurs?
If Tottenham did fail to land Tomiyasu now it would have to be a major disappointment.
There is a feeling that he could be a vital addition to their squad, due to his ability to play at right-back and in central defence.
Tottenham struggled in both positions last season, and if Nuno could land him, his task of strengthening Spurs’ defence would surely become a lot easier.
It remains to be seen how Tomiyasu will respond to Arsenal’s latest interest in him.
But the Gunners’ interest certainly has added a layer of concern for Spurs fans, and it would be an extremely bad look for Tottenham if they were to miss out on the transfer to their main rivals now.
