A number of Arsenal fans have reacted to the news that referee Michael Oliver will oversee their upcoming Premier League meeting with Leicester.

The Foxes and the Gunners lock horns in the East Midlands at 12:30pm on Saturday on the back of midweek Carabao Cup fourth-round wins.

Arsenal are in the hat for the quarter-final draw after running out 2-0 winners over Leeds on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Leicester made it through to the last eight following their penalty shootout win over Brighton on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s 10th-placed charges have gone eight games without defeat and look much improved since the start of the season.

However, they’re up against a team in form, the hosts unbeaten in five games in all competitions and ninth in the table.

Arsenal are in for a tough game, so the news of Oliver taking charge hasn’t gone down well, considering the Gunners’ record in games he’s officiated.

The north Londoners have won just 18 of 43 games with Oliver in charge, losing 15.

In addition, Arsenal are the team he’s handed the most yellow cards to during his career (78) and has awarded the Gunners just four penalties.
