Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips once again produced a fine display at the weekend and Jermaine Beckford has lauded the England man for his contribution.
Phillips put in a fine performance against a tough Chelsea midfield but ultimately saw his team lose out in the end.

However, Phillips made his mark on the game with a moment of class in the first half, as he produced a stunning burst and pass to Patrick Bamford to give the Whites the lead at Stamford Bridge.
And Beckford, who is adored at Leeds, was left stunned by what Phillips did and believed it showed the level he is now playing at.
“Kalvin Phillips’ pass, that pass – oh my goodness! The weight of distribution, the direction of pass, the angle of his body shape when he actually did it – it was right on the left touchline by the halfway line as well – wow!.
“I saw it, and I was screaming at the screen, ‘Outside of the right foot, outside of the right foot’, and he didn’t, he used the inside of his left foot. I didn’t realise his left foot was as good as that. That was genuinely inch perfect.”
Beckford was speaking on the ‘Doing a Leeds’ podcast and was clearly impressed with what he saw from Phillips and his former team.

Phillips has established himself quickly in the Premier League this season. Now and England regular, the Leeds man will be looking to kick on towards the Euros next summer.
A moment of class, Phillips gets better and better – TBR View
Few players make the step from the Championship into the Premier League quite like Kalvin Phillips has. He’s been sensational and when he was out, his loss was apparent for the Whites.
Phillips is the heartbeat of this Leeds team and, seemingly, gets better and better each passing week.
A top half finish is on the cards for Leeds if Phillips stays fit. That is how important and impressive he is.
