Some Arsenal fans have given their thoughts on Jonathan Moss being appointed as the referee for their next Premier League game.

The Gunners have turned a corner since the international break and have won their last four in all competitions.

Prior to the break, Arsenal looked in dire straits after three league defeats without scoring a single goal.

But now, Mikel Arteta’s charges have won their last three league games, keeping two clean sheets.

Arsenal were particularly impressive against Spurs at the weekend, racing into a 3-0 half-time lead.

Although Son Heung-min pulled one back for the visitors, the Gunners held on for an impressive derby win.

Up next for Arsenal is Saturday’s trip to high-flying Brighton, a difficult fixture involving a side boasting some top players and a great manager.

Gunners fans will be familiar with Yves Bissouma, a player they’ve been heavily linked with this year.

And Graham Potter was reportedly on both Arsenal and Spurs’ radar over the summer.

Brighton’s 13-point haul from six games is the same as what Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton have accrued so far.

On Tuesday, the Premier League confirmed that Jonathan Moss would be referee the game between Arsenal and Brighton.

Marc Perry and Timothy Wood will assist Moss, while John Brooks is the fourth official and Chris Kavanagh is the video assistant referee (VAR).

Moss has officiated 31 Arsenal games over the years, and a few have seen controversy.

In 2015, some Gunners fans made a petition to ban Moss from refereeing their games following a 4-0 Boxing Day loss to Southampton.

And in 2018, Per Mertesacker criticised Moss for allegedly failing to explain his decision to allow Nottingham Forest’s controversial second penalty to stand as Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup.

Here is what some Arsenal fans have made of the Moss appointment against Brighton:
