Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Aston Villa are about to begin talks over selling Trezeguet.
The Villans winger is reportedly a target for Turkish champions Trabzonspor.
They have reportedly made an “official proposal” to Villa for Trezeguet and negotiations will soon start.
Trezeguet joined Aston Villa in the summer of 2019 from Kasimpasa for a reported £9million.
The Egypt international was a regular in his first season at Villa.
He made 41 appearances in all competitions, including 34 in the Premier League.
Trezeguet helped Villa to secure their top-flight status as well as reach the Carabao Cup final.
Dean Smith rated the player highly and lauded him after a 3-0 win over Arsenal in November 2020.
“He came back in and showed us what he’s all about,” Smith told VillaTV of Trezeguet.
“He’s very important. His running numbers are incredible. Tactically, he’s got so much better.”

The 27-year-old also played regularly in 2020-21, though he was sadly affected by injuries.
In April 2021, he injured his anterior cruciate ligament, which kept him out for the rest of the year.
And in February this year, after helping Egypt to the Africa Cup of Nations final, Trezeguet went out on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir.
The loan move proved to be a success, as he scored six and provided four assists in 13 Super Lig games.
Trezeguet’s Villa contract expires next season, and it looks as though the club will now cash in on him.
It’s a move that makes sense.
The player returns to a league where he’s got a great track record, is likely to get first-team football, and Villa can make some money from his sale.
