Manchester United legend and now PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy has made a funny claim to Hayters TV about Arsenal fans ahead of tonight’s game.
The Gunners are set to face off against the Dutch outfit tonight as they continue their Europa League campaign.
And they’ll meet a familiar face once again, with Van Nistelrooy leading PSV out at the Emirates.
The Dutchman led the line for Sir Alex Ferguson’s United side which battled fiercely with Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal team for the Premier League title.

Of course, the Gunners made history during the 2003-04 campaign as they became the first and remain the only team to go a full Premier League season without a loss. But it could’ve been a lot different had Van Nistelrooy scored a penalty against them that season.
The former striker had the chance to give United a massive three points at Old Trafford back in 2003 in the last minutes of the game. But he rattled it back off the crossbar and Arsenal went on to win the title that season.
And Van Nistelrooy has now joked that he should get a ‘warm welcome’ at the Emirates tonight due to this moment.
Van Nistelrooy makes funny claim about Arsenal fans
Speaking to Hayters TV, Van Nistelrooy spoke about the rivalry between United and Arsenal in the early 2000’s.
“The pressure is there, both teams know you face each other and you’re competing for a Premiership,” he said.
“It’s possible it will be decided over these games and of course, the penalty miss.
“That’s why I expect a warm welcome tomorrow, I kept them invincible [laughs] because of my miss.”

It’s great to see that Van Nistelrooy sees the funny side to his miss all these years later.
The Dutchman is doing a brilliant job with PSV and his side currently sit in second place in the Eredivisie.
It will be a tough test for the Gunners tonight, with the Dutch outfit just two points behind them in Group A.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can continue their brilliant start to the new season, at the expense of a former foe in Van Nistelrooy.
