Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno has admitted to Football London that he still doesn’t know Bryan Gil’s best position.
Still learning
Spurs took on Pacos De Ferreira last night and were beaten 1-0, on what was Gil’s debut for the club after his arrival from Sevilla.
Unfortunately for the Spaniard he may not have had the impact on the game that he was hoping for.
Gil was deployed down the left hand side initially, before having to change flanks at the break.
And Nuno admits that even he is still learning about the Tottenham new boy.
“I think Bryan started well, but that’s my responsibility,” he said. “I think we still have to find the right position for him and give him exact tasks. In this game he changed two times his position and it’s not the best way to go to improve a player.”

Patience required?
Nuno’s comments may well suggest that Gil has some way to go before breaking into Tottenham’s team.
Indeed, nobody who played last night really did their chances of forcing their way into the starting line-up much good.
Nuno admitted after the game that Spurs were far from at their best.
And it would now be a surprise if Tottenham made many alterations to the line-up which beat Manchester City, when they are next in Premier League action at the weekend.
