But the visitors created a lot of goalscoring opportunities and did draw level through Jimenez in the 76th minute to earn a point.
The Mexican striker powered in a header and has now scored 11 goals across all competitions this campaign.
He lead the extremely well throughout the fixture against Arsenal and has been a superstar since he moved to Molineux at the beginning of last season, with his switch made permanent in the summer.
“He’s a very good player, he’s a very good man – a fantastic boy. He works very hard, he believes in himself and he works for the team. I am delighted, and we are delighted to have him,” Nuno said, as quoted by the club’s official website.
Jimenez has to be thrilled with 11 goals in his opening 20 appearances for Wolves so far this season and his header against Arsenal was his fourth in the league.
He’s making a real impact during the club’s run in the Europa League, but it’s important he continues to deliver domestically and it was a crucial goal at the Emirates.
Jimenez is an all-round striker that has so many strengths to his game aside from just being a finisher and has a great understanding with teammate Diogo Jota in attack.
