‘Now we’re talking’: Some Tottenham fans buzzing with rumours linking them to PL star
Tottenham are being linked with Pedro Neto at Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers – and some Spurs fans on Twitter are buzzing with the transfer rumour.
According to 90min, Spurs are one of several clubs to make an enquiry about the 21-year-old attacker.
The report states that the north London club, along with Juventus and Liverpool, have contacted Wolves.
Apparently, Wolves are contemplating letting their highly rated youngster leave, but it would take a “huge offer’ to prize him away from the West Midlands.
Neto’s sidelined going into the new season because of a long-term injury. However, he’s shown during his time in England so far what he’s capable of.
The Portuguese winger was arguably the Wolves individual that stepped up most last season after Raul Jimenez’s injury.
He had 11 direct goal contributions in just 30 league games, so is one of the most exciting young players in the division.
Tottenham target Neto will be a superstar
Neto will surely cost any team a fortune this summer, so whether Spurs could get him is a serious question. Also, it must be considered by any buyer that he’s currently sat out injured.
There is no doubt though that he’s a star in the making.
Diogo Jota had an amazing debut season at Liverpool last year after leaving Wolves, but for the latter they knew they had a ready-made replacement in Neto to fill his shoes.
If the Spurs managing director or football Fabio Paratici can get Neto, it would be a masterstroke.
