Nouha Dicko has teased Leeds United fans on Instagram with a comment left on former teammate Helder Costa’s Instagram saying “see you in Leeds”, before he quickly backtracked. But would the Hull star be a good signing?

Costa, 25, agreed a move to Leeds which will see the Portugal international remain at Elland Road until the summer of 2023. Posting on Instagram after the move, Dicko replied wishing his old teammate good luck.

Dicko also said “see you in Leeds”, which instantly teased fans, suggesting he could be joining Costa at Elland Road. But a fan asked whether he meant seeing him when Leeds take on Hull, to which Dicko replied “thank you”.

But would Dicko actually be a good signing for Leeds? Certainly, the Whites do not really boast a player like the three-time Mali international, who joined Hull from Wolves for £3.5million (E&S) in the summer of 2017.

Though he has only scored seven times in 50 games for Hull, Dicko can be excused. Being used out wide and 25 of those matches coming from the bench mean his tally is not as bad – especially when he has also laid on seven assists.

Leeds boast Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford up front, and though the duo offer plenty in terms of being a striker, neither boast the speed of Dicko. From the bench, he could be a crucial weapon for Leeds next season.

Having that speed to come off the bench and throw on for the last 20 minutes may just give the Whites another attacking dimension of added firepower to inch them closer to promotion.
