As Dean Smith still struggles to find a way to tighten up Aston Villa’s shambolic defence, he may well turn to Nottingham Forest loanee Saidy Janko in January.
Despite Premier League interest from Fulham and Wolves, The Sun say that Villa are leading the race of Championship sides who are interested in the Porto loanee.
On loan at AS Saint-Etienne last season, Janko impressed early on at the County Ground but has lost his place of late and the Villans may feel that they could lure the 23-year-old away.

Strong, powerful and not afraid to get forward, there could be many similarities drawn to the kind of style that Smith will be keen to play at Villa Park.
Given that he is on loan at Nottingham Forest until the end of the campaign, it seems unlikely that any deal would be done in January, or at the very least, that he would be seen in the claret and blue of Aston Villa any time soon.
As Smith already casts one eye over next season, planning how to make a serious assault for the top of the league, he may well see Janko as an essential asset.
