'Deal almost done': Nottingham Forest close to signing Chelsea player - Fabrizio Romano
Another hour ticks by and another new face is set to sign for Nottingham Forest, this time in the form of Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest are set to the sign the Belgian striker to take their tally over the 20 mark when it comes to summer incoming. Taking to his Twitter account, Romano has said that Forest have all but agreed a deal to sign Batshuayi and the deal is ‘almost done’.
Forest landing the Chelsea striker continues a remarkable summer window for the Reds which has seen them bring in a number of high-profile signings over the course of the summer.
Batshuayi has found himself on the periphery of proceedings at Chelsea and has spent most of his time at Stamford Bridge out on loan. However, he’ll be keen to try and find a home for himself at the City Ground and will be confident he can score goals for Steve Cooper’s side.
Forest have looked toothless in attack in recent games and Cooper will have been determined to land another focal point type signing. Batshuayi could well be that man and having struggled with Chelsea, will be keen to make an impact in Forest Red.
