Nottingham Forest are keen to offload Jason Cummings this summer, according to a report by the Scottish Sun.
They report that Sabri Lamouchi is keen to sell the 24-year-old to the lower reaches of the EFL or Scottish football, where the transfer window remains open.
Forest have a bloated squad, and Daryl Murphy and Liam Bridcutt are also apparently surplus to requirements at the City Ground.
Lamouchi has apparently had conversations with the players he wants rid of but it remains to be seen if they are able to seal moves now that the Premier League and Championship sides can’t sign anyone else.
TBR’s View – Forest desperately need to trim their bloated squad
Plenty has been made of the churn in terms of players at Forest in recent times, and it has left Lamouchi with a bloated squad of players recruited by different managers for different styles.
It’s not surprising that Lamouchi wants rid of certain faces but it could be tough to offload the likes of Cummings – Scotland is his most likely option.
He is not going to get back into Forest’s plans now – Cummings must realise that himself – but finding a buyer now is the real challenge.
