Nottingham Forest praise Ben Watson performance against Blackburn Rovers

Ben Watson completed 90 minutes in the draw away to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night – and some Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter praised him for his performance.

The veteran central midfielder helped his side earn a point in the Championship fixture at Ewood Park and it continues a decent start to the season.

Hosts Blackburn went in front in the 63rd minute through Adam Armstrong, but just two minutes later the Reds equalised with Joe Lolley firing a shot into the bottom corner from range.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side are third in the league standings at present and just a point off new leaders Leeds United, who beat second-placed West Brom 1-0 on Tuesday at Elland Road.

Forest now turn their attention to Brentford at the City Ground on Saturday and a win before the international break would leave them in a healthy position.

A selection of Forest supporters on social media picked out Watson for his display in midweek.

The 34-year-old has been an important player for the Midlands giants this campaign and found the arrival of Lamouchi extremely beneficial for him.

His experience against Blackburn helped him control proceeding in the centre of the park, as he limited Bradley Dack’s influence and broke up play.
