Nottingham Forest beat Manchester United yesterday and are now looking to press ahead with some January signings.
The Reds had Morgan Gibbs-White to thank for a big win over an out of sorts United side and now new manager Nuno Santo is looking for new additions.
And according to the Mirror, Forest are expected to go ahead with the signing of Fluminense defender Nino in what will be a £6m deal.
Nino is a wanted man this January and has been looked at by Liverpool as they also look for new centre-backs.
However, it looks like Forest will be the team to ‘push the button’ on the deal, according to the report.
Nottingham Forest to sign Nino ahead of Liverpool
Nino has starred for Fluminense, who have a number of players who have been linked with moves to England.
Of course, we know star midfielder Andre has also been target by Liverpool and Fulham, with the Brazilian expected to be in England either in this window or the next.

With that in mind, the signing of Nino for Forest will feel like quite the coup.
The Reds have a number of players going away for international duties over the winter and despite spending massively in recent windows, need more new faces.
Further, there’ll be players in the squad who Santo simply doesn’t see as playing as much as they did under Steve Cooper and that will allow some wiggle room.
Nino, then, will come in and add strength to the defensive line. Forest have picked up some big results recently but know a dip in form could see them dragged into the mire quickly.
Signing a player who has been the captain of his club in a successful Brazilian outfit is a huge plus.
Liverpool, meanwhile, will have to expand their search for new players and defenders.
The Anfield outfit are looking for new players if the right deal arises but it seems they have missed the boat with Nino.
