In January 2017, caretaker boss Gary Brazil was in charge at Nottingham Forest as the Championship side decided to take a punt on USA youth international Gboly Ariyibi.
As reported by the Nottingham Post, Forest paid Chesterfield £500,000 for the enigmatic winger with the hopes he could turn some of his raw talent into sustained results at the City Ground.
However, things have not gone well for player.

He has struggled to have any impact at Forest and has been spent most of his time at the club out on loan. Spells at MK Dons and Northampton Town were mixed in success and in January he headed out temporarily once again.
This time he headed to Motherwell, hoping to find some form north of the border.
Today he broke his long scoring duck. Whilst he will not be pleased with his team’s 4-1 loss to champions Celtic, scoring the consolation goal will undoubtedly have cheered him after his previous struggles.
It was his first goal since he netted a double for MK Dons against Oxford United in the Football League Trophy back in November 2017.
It still looks unlikely that he has any future at Forest, but grabbing a goal today will give him the confidence to push on at his current club and maybe catch the eye at the City Ground.
